Privacy policy
DRAFT for founder and lawyer review. Not yet in force.
GoGoBambino is a baby-tracking app for households. This policy says what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain English.
Who we are
GoGoBambino is run by [ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS], the data controller. You can reach us at privacy@gogobambino.app.
What we collect
- Your email address, so you can sign in with a link. We do not use passwords.
- The details you enter about the children in your household: name, date of birth, sex, and the feeds, sleep, nappies, growth measurements, symptoms, medicines, milestones and notes you log. This is health-related information about children, and we treat it with extra care.
- Photos, if you choose to add them.
- A device identifier, so syncing between your phones works.
- Basic crash reports, with email addresses removed and none of your entries attached.
- Whether you have a GoGoBambino Premium subscription, so we can unlock it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show adverts or share data with advertisers.
- We do not use your entries to build profiles for anyone else.
Why we use it
- To run the app for you and your household, and to sync it across your devices (our contract with you).
- To keep the app working and fix crashes (our legitimate interest in a reliable service).
- To take payment through the app stores and unlock Premium (our contract with you).
- Where we rely on your consent, for example for optional features, you can withdraw it at any time.
Because the information is about children, the account holder confirms they are a parent or have parental responsibility, and gives consent on the child's behalf.
Who helps us run GoGoBambino
- Vercel and Neon host the app and its database.
- Resend sends the sign-in emails and invites.
- Sentry receives crash reports.
- RevenueCat and the Apple App Store and Google Play handle subscriptions.
- Google Firebase delivers push notifications.
- Cloudflare R2 stores photos.
These companies process data only to provide their service to us. Some of them are outside the UK, and where that happens we rely on approved safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask us to do the following at any time, and in GoGoBambino you can do most of it yourself:
- Get a copy of your data. Export is always free: use Export in Settings.
- Delete your data. Delete my account in Settings removes your account and the household data you own straight away.
- Correct anything that is wrong, by editing it in the app.
- Object to or restrict how we use your data, or ask us to move it elsewhere.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we have got something wrong.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed, apart from anything we must keep by law.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
